>>> 2nd Saturday Block of the Month Classes <<<
Classes for participants in the 2nd Saturday Block of the Month club are held at the following times:

>>> Herman the Snowman <<<
Debi has granted my wish and is teaching a doll class! Herman is such a cute and chubby snowman. He is made out of flannel and isn't too hard to make. You will need some sewing experience but not necessarily with doll making.
Skill Level: Advanced Beginner Cost: $25 + supplies Instructor: Debi Date: Monday, Jan 11th; 10am-4pm (bring a lunch or we will be happy to get you one)
>>> Machine Applique <<<
This class is back again by popular demand! Carol will guide you throught the basics of machine applique. The class will be part lecture and part hands-on. This is the perfect chance to learn from the master!
Skill Level: Beginner Cost: $25 (bring your sewing machine!) Instructor: Carol Date: Tuesday, Jan 12th; 6-8pm OR Saturday, Jan 16th; 10am-12pm
>>> Pillowcases <<<
This is a very popular class here at The Cotton Patch. You'll make a great pillowcase with no exposed seams. It's great for beginners but the more experienced will have fun, too! I have to warn you though...it can be addicting!

>>> "Playing with Texture" Quilt <<<
Here you'll learn to use different fabrics in your quilt. Loretta will give you some great tips for using differently textured fabrics. You can choose to make a baby- or lap-sized quilt. This is a fast and fun project with a lot of style. It's a great beginner's class but you do need some quilting experience.
Skill Level: Experienced Beginner Cost: $20 + supplies (bring things from your stash!) Instructor: Loretta Date: Saturday, January 23rd; 10am-1pm
>>> Tuffet <<<
This isn't little Miss Muffet's tuffet! This is a pieced tuffet foot stool. The sample is in the store and it's so adorable! You can make it for your living room or for any room in the house; nomatter where it goes, it's sure to be a one-of-a-kind. We will have the inner workings for you and you'll learn to do the rest. Loretta knows all the tricks to make this upholstered quilt piece. Once you know how, you'll be hooked! This is a two-part class.

>>> Liberty Log Cabin <<<
Here's a new twist on an old favorite. This is not a difficult quilt but there is a lot of piecing, so being good with that 1/4" seam will be helpful. Cheryl will help you with some new triangel techniques that will make those triangles a snap! Along the way, she will also give you some tips on keeping those borders from becoming wavy. This is a 3-part class.

This month's bag is the Bella Bag by Fig Tree. It is a satchel style with leather handles -- a new technique to try! This one is sure to be a hit.

>>> Beginning Quilting 2 <<<
This quilt looks complicated, but it really isn't; it's all about learning to piece triangles and set together two different squares. You can make this quilt scrappy or use just a few fabrics to make a traditional quilt. The look is all in the coloring! Bobbie will help you each step of the way. This is a 3-part class.

>>> Beginning Quilting <<<
If you are new to quilting or if you'd like to start, this is the class you've been waiting for! You'll learn the basics of cutting, sewing and finishing your new quilt. This is a 3-part class.
Skill Level: Beginner Cost: $50 + supplies Instructor: Amber Date: Sundays, Feb 21st, 28th AND Mar 7th; 12-3pm
>>> Wool Block of the Month <<<
Errin Rissberger has designe a beautiful wool block of the month for The Cotton Patch. It will be a six month program and the great thing is that it has a class where you get to sit and stitch! The quilt measures about 50"x50" and is made with hand-dyed wools, velvets and wonderful yarns. The class is limited to 10 people due to space. This class is a bit more expensive, but it is truly unique and beautiful.
Skill Level: Intermediate hand-stitcher or motivated beginner Cost: $25 teacher's fee + monthly kit fee. The teacher's fee covers all six months and the kit fee is for each month's block. The kit fee will be payable each month. Instructor: Errin Date: Third Saturday of the month, February-July; 1-3pm
>>> Beginning Free Motion Quilting <<<
Join our newest teacher, Jan Story, and learn from a master machine quilter. She will guide you beyond stippling and give you insight into the art of free motion quilting. This is a good class if you have tried machine quilting with limited success.
Skill Level: Beginner + (some limited experience with machine quilting) Cost: $20 + supplies Instructor: Jan Date: Wednesday, Feb 24th; 10am-2pm
>>> Midnight Cowboy <<<
Release your inner cowboy. Using Theresa's original pattern, dress your cowboy any way you wish. Learn some easy ways using your sewing machine to embellish your cowpoke! Theresa will guide you through the fusible process. This quilt is easy enough for a beginner and fun for the more advanced.

>>> Gelato Table Runner <<<
Theresa designed this cute table runner to use an ombre fabric and simple weaving technique. Then you use a twin needle to sew it down and embellish. This is another easy quilt that looks sensational! Skill Level: Beginner Cost: $25 + supplies Instructor: Theresa Date: Wednesday, Mar 24th; 10am-5pm
>>> Big Fork Animal Quilt <<<
Theresa will be coming back back to the Cotton Patch to teach these wonderful quilts. You can choose a wolf, horse or buffalo motif. The wolf quilt is in the shop if you'd like to come in and see it. It's not as hard as you might think, it's all fusible. Skill Level: Beginner - Intermediate Cost: $30 + supplies Instructor: Theresa Date: April, Apr 7th; 10am-5pm

Here at The Cotton Patch, we have a great passion for the art of quilting and we want to pass our passion on to the next generation of great fiber artists. We will be offering classes with this goal in mind!

This class is designed for you teens that want to take the next step into quilting. Lauren will teach you the basics of this simple wall hanging. There is nothing too difficult about this project but you should know how to run a sewing machine.
Skill Level: Beginner Cost: $20 + supplies Instructor: Lauren Date: Sunday, January 24th; 12am-5pm

This time of year, weather and health issues plague us all. If WE must cancel a class due to illness or inclement weather, we will call you as soon as possible. PLEASE make sure that you give a phone number when you sign up so we can call you or leave a message.
If YOU must cancel, we ask that you do so at least 24-hours in advance as there may be others on a waiting list that would like to fill your spot. We realize that emergencies do happen, and we are pretty good about being understanding. We will gladly refund your class fee in the form of store credit if you give us the 24-hour notice OR it's an emergency.
Please make sure you adequately note your class date and time. If you are a no-show without the above prior notice, YOU FORFEIT YOUR CLASS FEE. If you would like a reminder phone call or e-mail the day before class, let us know and we'll happily do so.
All class participants receive 10% off the supplies for their class at The Cotton Patch.

You can call the store to sign up for any available class. Please be sure that you choose a class that fits into your schedule. We understand that conflicts occur, however, we ask that you cancel at least 24 hours before the first class to get your refund of class fees.
